My research interests lie in South Asian Politics, Foreign Policy, Comparative Study, Public Policy, Non-Violence, Statelessness, Citizenship and the issue of Marginalized communities.

I have worked as Research Officer cum Project Coordinator, Research Associate and Consultant in which I was assigned to prepare reports, allocate funds, conduct interviews, took part in focused group discussions, and carried out documentation work for major projects under Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), National Commission for Women (NCW) and other NGOs. I have presented papers at various national and international conferences. My work has been published in World Focus, Mainstream, Islam and the Modern Age, and International Review of Social Sciences and Humanities. I have published book review in Contemporary South Asia, Reading Religion and Journal of Law and Religion.

I took classes for Masters in International Relations and Area Studies. I was a Teaching Assistant for the papers Problems of International Relations, Political Thought I and II under Professor Rajesh Rajagopalan, Professor Nivedita Menon, and Professor P.K Dutta respectively from 2016-2018. I also gave guest lecture in Kardan University in 2021.

My Ph.D. thesis conducted a comparative study between Sri Lanka and Myanmar and the rise of religious extremism in both the Theravada Buddhist country. The lack of comprehensive study on religious extremism in the two Theravada Buddhist countries provided me the impetus to work on the current theme. For my study, I conducted interviews with specialists/political scientists in the region, human rights activists, members of the Parliament, and the Rohingya refugee in Delhi. The study was funded by ICSSR -Short term doctoral fellowship.
